Michael Scofield is in a lot of problems in the new Prison Break teaser.
Fox’s nine-episode revival will see Michael (Wentworth Miller) back from the dead and in a prison in Yemen. Although not for long if Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) and the group have anything to do with it.
The trailer shows Michael out of prison. But with a knife at his neck. So, the question is: Is he about to die all over again?
In the beginning of this week, it was officially announced that the new series will be called Prison Break: Resurrection. And the writers are also telling why there were just nine episodes in the run.
“[The] entire cast is booked on other tv shows, so they had to squeeze a whole series into their breaks,” a post on the show’s Writers Room Twitter read.
Also, we know that William Fichtner won’t be back as Alex Mahone for the new tv show. But Paul Adelstein will be back as Paul Kellerman, beside the likes of series regulars Sarah Wayne Callies, Amaury Nolasco and Robert Knepper.
Miller is already planning more adventures for Michael and the group in the future.
“The reboot is nine new episodes airing in this spring and then depending on how it’s received, and who’s ready, there could be another discussion about another bite of the apple. We will see,” he told us.
Prison Break returns to Fox in the US on April 4.
We don’t yet know a UK broadcaster or air date.
