We’ve been waiting for Nina Dobrev’s comeback to ‘The Vampire Diaries’ as far back as the show reported its end. Can the show end without her?
The finale of The Vampire Diaries is set to air on March 10. And everybody has a similar question: will we see Nina Dobrev once more? So it was nothing unexpected that the question was asked to CW President Mark Pedowitz at the 2017 Winter TCA Press Tour on Jan. 8.
“The most ideal way I can answer that question is Julie Plec, Kevin Williamson, the studio and the CW guarantee an awesome season finale,” he said.
Nina left the TV series in season six and was put into a coma, attached to Kat Graham’s Bonnie. She can wake up only if Bonnie dies. But given that the show centers on vampires, it would make sense for Elena to wake up. Also, she will find most of her friends have not aged. But will the actress actually appear?
The gates of hell are open with the present plot line. According to many fans, this could mean a reentrance for Katherine. In this way, perhaps it will be her returning, rather than Elena.
Last April, HollywoodLife.comIn October, Julie addressed the point of Nina’s arrival, saying it all comes down to booking and that she “feels great about it.”
“I realize that she needs to be there and I, obviously, 100 percent need her to be there,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “Truly, how about we put it along like this: I would be crushed if it doesn’t work out, so I have a feeling the cards will be in all our support.”
Fans, what do you think? Will Nina return for the finale? Would you like to see her? Tell us your wishes for the last season in the comments!
