So many spoilers have been traveling about the AMC horror’s return this month. which will see our favorite -Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and his biggest enemy Negan in the biggest fight of their lives.

While it has already been announced that the premiere is called Mercy, now the descriptions of the second and third chapters of the hugest popular show’s eighth season have dropped too.

The second episode is called The Damned and could hint that all the series’ remaining survivors will face difficulties of some sort, particularly given that this year will follow the comics’ All Out War storyline.

But maybe more interestingly, the episode’s official title teases that Rick will run into his old Alexandria comrade-turned traitor Eugene Porter.

“The plan including Alexandrians, Kingdoms, and Hilltoppers unfolds,” the description presents. “As Rick continues to fight, he meets a familiar face.”

It stands to reason that if the group go on a violence against the Saviours – in trying to infiltrate their camp Rick will come across the fake-scientist and the two will stand off facing each other.

While, the third episode’s title has been announced as Monsters, which is even more dangerous for fans now worried that more Alexandrian lives could be on the line this year.

Monsters’ description also suggests that some of the “good guys” might be leaving behind their moral compass in order to break their most difficult for yet.

“Conflict with the Saviors leads to unintended results for the Hilltop, the Kingdom, and Alexandria,” says the synopsis. “Morality proves tricky in wartime.”

Could the stoic Daryl Dixon or Carol Peletier be at odds with the group’s leader, or maybe even Rick himself will turn to the dark side in his battle against Negan?

The Walking Dead returns to AMC on October 22 and will follow a day later on FOX UK.
